Ooooooooooh - A new toy

This is fun. That is not to say that it is completely accurate. But it is definitely fun. And widens your horizons/reading-material which, if we are to believe the Sharpener, is a good thing.

erm- it's bold and blue but is it a hyperlink? Not that I can click...

It's definitely on the wobbly side, I grant you.

The HTML is definitely there and the link does work, but it only seems to work if you hover over the "s" right at the end.

Whilst I would dearly love to blame Blogger, it is just possible that there is a little glitch in my stylesheet. (The sidebar sits in a separate div which floats left and is of fixed width 200 px. There might be some peculiar overlap thing going on here.)

Have another go anyway.

And leave a name of at least some sort whilst you are at it. Lurker...

The Lurker

Who is this strange lurker?

Well - what I want to say is this is even funner!

You have to take part in an offer, so I went for the 30 day free DVD rental thingy. Which will amount to the total of squat-all from my pocket, even if this is balls...

And the DVDs - The Eye and Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and the Life of Brian, arrived through my letterbox this morning...

I'm a cynic, but I'm getting excited. Tell your iPodless friends. There's nowt to lose.

*grins like a cheshire cat*

well , it was kind of worth it a bit. A jot. A tittle. Of interest to those with a blog, as opposed to those just a-lurkin' and a-surfin'

Whaaaaaat???!!

*laughs*

Do you think you will reveal to us your true identity? Are you tall dark and handsome (and male), etc?

Anonymous said...

I may do. Then again possibly not. Does your nom de web conceal a hotcha blonde from a Bunuel movie, or a bloke from Tottnam who has gone all pallid like a blanched vegetable from days spent excessively indoors? I prefer to lurk, at the moment - just an ordinary lurker, no ill intent, nothing to hide and even less to reveal. Hope that's satisfactory

semi-anon-though-undeniably-Generally-Polite-Lurker,

It is more than entirely satisfactory. I have been remiss in failing - until to - to welcome you, wholeheartedly, to Infinitives Unsplit.

You are more than welcome to lurk and you would be in extremely fine company if you should choose to exercise your inalienable right so to do.

If you choose to peek out of the darkness and join in, that's marvellous too. It all adds to my visitor stats.

;-P

As regards a nom-de-plume, it just helps me to say "hello" breezily to you when you pop up and to be able to relate your views to others you may have posted earlier.

It's just such a frightful shame that you have popped up on such a narcissistic topic....

Oh and BdJ, must get round to replying to some of your earlier comments. Rather busy at present. Apologies.

Toodle Pip!

BdJ - sounds like a rapper...

*chortles under her breath*

And my name, as I'm sure we all now know, reveals nothing more than ae, ehm, free-spirited young lady who discovered Ms Belle de Jour (the real one) through a strange set of circumstances, and thought she'd make it her Blogger ID when creating a blog.

I've since wanted to change it -'cause having an ID like the pseudonym of a high class prostitute does lose its novelty.

Yours,

BdJ (In da house)

PS. So sorry to hear that Mister P General is busy. You should become a teacher. You'd be on holiday right now. :-P

BdJ - why not change it to your name? You have published it in your blog, so why not? As for 'the real BdJ', that would be Deneuve in Bunuel's 1967 masterpiece, I hope and trust, not the dull and repetitive hemidemisemi-erotica of yesteryear.
I was thinking of revelaing some more about myself. But then decided not to.
Thanks for the warm welcome PGiO - it's much appreciated. May I test yr pedant credentials? Can you tell me the diff between a gerund and a gerundive? I await your response avidly.
Yrs, Lurk
