Fluorescent Lighting

As part of this doing up this new to us house I've got to try and decide where, if anywhere, to put fluorescent lighting . I think it's obvious that it should be in the garage: and I'm a fan of it in bathrooms too, especially over a sink and with a mirror. But where else? Is there anywhere else? We've already put metal halide bulbs in the kitchen, so we don't need more bright light there.

Any ideas?
