Now here's something I didn't actually realize went on: student software discounts. If you're a student registered at a college (and have your ID that can be checked online) then you can get discounts of up to 80% on software. Click through for CampusTech.com, their customers quote them as having "unbeatable prices" and "high customer satisfaction".

College is going to be expensive enough without having to pay full retail, so why not?
